Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the Cosmic Courier app (hereafter "Application") developed by Techasylum ("Service Provider") as a free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS."

What Data Does Cosmic Courier Collect?

Short Answer: NOTHING.

The Cosmic Courier app itself does not collect, store, access, or process any personal data from you. We don't require account creation, we don't track your gameplay, and we don't ask for any information.

However, the app displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service. AdMob and its advertising partners may collect certain technical data to deliver and personalize ads. This data collection is performed entirely by Google and its partners—not by us.

What Data Does Google AdMob Collect?

When you use the Application, Google AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and process the following types of information:

Device Information Device identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID), device model, operating system version, screen size, browser type, and supported technologies.

Network & Location Data IP address (used to determine general/non-precise location), network connection type.

Ad Interaction Data Information about which ads are shown to you, whether you clicked on them, and how you interact with them.

App Usage Information Limited data about your interaction with the app (e.g., session duration, pages viewed) to provide contextual advertising.

Important: AdMob does not collect precise geolocation data (within 500 meters) unless you specifically consent to it in the consent dialog.

Select Basic Ads (Non-Personalized) Show ads based on limited data like the app you're using, your device type, and general location—without using your personal advertising profile.

Create Advertising Profiles (Personalized Ads) Build a profile based on your activity across apps and websites to understand your interests for more relevant advertising.

Use Profiles to Select Personalized Ads Show ads based on your advertising profile, which reflects your interests and activity.

Measure Advertising Performance Track whether ads were shown, clicked, or led to actions (like purchases) to understand advertising effectiveness.

Technical & Security Purposes

Store and Access Information on Device Use cookies or similar identifiers to recognize your device and deliver ads properly.

Ensure Security & Prevent Fraud Monitor for unusual activity (like bot clicks), prevent fraud, and ensure systems work securely.

Deliver and Present Advertising Use technical information (like IP address) to ensure ads are compatible with your device and delivered correctly.

Analytics & Improvement

Understand Audiences Through Statistics Generate reports by combining data to identify common characteristics and improve advertising campaigns.

Develop and Improve Services Use information about your interactions to improve products and build new features (without creating user profiles).

Note: Some vendors may process certain data based on "legitimate interest" without requiring explicit consent, as permitted under GDPR for specific limited purposes like fraud prevention and technical ad delivery.

When you first launch Cosmic Courier, you'll see a consent dialog that lets you choose between:

Accept All: Consent to personalized ads with full profiling and tracking
Manage Options: Choose exactly which purposes you consent to (recommended for privacy)
Do Not Consent: See only basic, non-personalized ads with minimal data collection

Your consent choices are stored on your device for up to 390 days:

In a cookie named "FCCDCF" for web-based access
In device storage with prefix "IABTCF_" for the app

What Happens If You Don't Consent?

You'll still see ads—they just won't be personalized based on your interests. AdMob will only use limited contextual data (like the app content and your device type) to select ads.

Data Sharing

The Service Provider does not collect, store, or share any data.

Google AdMob may share data with its advertising partners (TCF vendors) as described in the consent dialog. You can view the complete list of vendors and their purposes in the "Manage Options" section of the consent dialog when you open the app.

The Service Provider will only disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users.

Data Retention & Deletion

Since Cosmic Courier doesn't collect data, there's nothing for us to retain or delete.

Google AdMob retains data according to their retention policies. Your consent choices are stored for up to 390 days, after which you'll be asked for consent again.

Review and delete your activity data
Reset your Advertising ID (see "Revoke Consent" section)

While Cosmic Courier doesn't collect user data, we ensure that integrated third-party services (like Google AdMob) maintain appropriate security measures.
